Online Model UN peaked during the pandemic and then thinned out fast. The virtual editions of the flagship conferences, NHSMUN, Harvard MUN, and MUNUC among them, were COVID-era measures and have all returned to in-person only, and several once-loved online programs have wound down. What remains is a short list of programs with real, current activity, which is exactly what this page tracks.
The survivors are genuinely useful, especially for students without a school club or in regions with a thin local circuit. Sessions run on Zoom, fees range from free to a few hundred dollars, and the better programs publish named staff, capped committee sizes, and real background guides. One caution: a cottage industry of pay-for-certificate operations runs near-weekly numbered online conferences. If a site’s main pitch is the certificate rather than the debate, skip it.
