Terms of Service

Last updated: July 23, 2026

1. Accepting these terms

These Terms of Service form the agreement between you and Delegate Academy whenever you browse delegateacademy.com or enroll a student in our programs. Using the site or the services means you accept them; if you do not accept them, please refrain from using either.

2. The service

Delegate Academy teaches Model United Nations online. The offering consists of live small-group courses, private 1-on-1 coaching sessions, mock committees and simulations accompanied by written feedback, and the teaching materials that support them. No instruction takes place in person.

3. Who may enroll

The programs suit students of roughly ages 10 to 18. A parent or legal guardian must be the one to enroll and pay, and by doing so accepts these terms on the student's behalf.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are listed in US dollars and may be revised over time; whatever price appears at checkout is the price charged for that purchase.

A purchase buys exactly one defined unit: a single course term for a single student, meaning twelve weekly sessions in the age band and time slot selected at checkout. There is no auto-renewal of any kind, and your card is charged again only if you complete another checkout. Private 1-on-1 coaching sits outside the online store; it is arranged directly with a coach after a free trial.

Stripe processes payment securely at the moment of enrollment. For withdrawals and refunds, see the Refund Policy.

5. Attendance, scheduling, and classroom conduct

Enrolling commits your student, and you, to a few ground rules:

  • Come to scheduled sessions on time. Make-up sessions exist, but granting them is at our discretion
  • Occasionally a coach is unavailable and a session must move; we will give you as much notice as we can
  • All class times are anchored to US Eastern Time. When US clocks change, times displayed in other timezones shift accordingly, and the Eastern anchor governs
  • Coaches and classmates are to be treated with respect; a student who repeatedly disrupts a class may be removed from it
  • Live classes may not be recorded without permission

6. Ownership of materials

Everything we produce for the programs and publish on this site (lesson materials, templates, cheat sheets, background guides, feedback documents, articles, and recordings) is the intellectual property of Delegate Academy and is protected as such. Enrollment grants your family a personal, educational license to use it. Our free resources may be printed for your own club or classroom. The license does not extend to republishing, resale, or redistribution of any kind without our written permission.

7. No affiliation

Delegate Academy operates independently. The United Nations, UNA-USA, Harvard Model United Nations, THIMUN, National Model United Nations, and the conferences, schools, and organizations mentioned on this site have no connection to us and have not endorsed us. Their names appear solely to identify the settings we prepare students for.

8. No promised outcomes

We coach seriously, but Model UN outcomes are not ours to promise. Committee awards, conference placements, and selection to any dais or secretariat turn on many factors a coach cannot control, and nothing on this site guarantees any of them.

9. Limits on liability

So far as the law allows, Delegate Academy bears no liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages connected to your use of the services, and our total liability on any claim is capped at the amount you paid for the services concerned.

10. Revisions to these terms

These terms may change. A material change will be published on this page under a fresh "Last updated" date, and use of the services after that point counts as acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Suspension and termination

Conduct that breaches these terms, or that harms students, coaches, or the academy, can lead us to suspend or withdraw access to the services. Where we end an enrollment for any reason other than a conduct violation, the unused portion is refunded.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which Delegate Academy is organized, conflict-of-law rules aside, and any dispute will be heard in that jurisdiction's courts.
