Refund Policy
Last updated: July 23, 2026
Plans shift. A refund policy should be understood before checkout, not discovered after it, so here is ours in plain terms.
Group courses, Beginner I through Scholars
The first week
A full refund is available on three conditions, all of which must hold: the request reaches us within 7 days of enrollment, the student has sat in on no more than one session, and the request arrives by email (see the last section of this page).
Up to the midpoint
After that first window closes, refunds become pro-rated until the course reaches its midpoint at session six of twelve. We count the sessions still remaining, take their share of the course fee, and deduct a 15% administrative fee from that amount.
Past the midpoint
Once half of the course's sessions have run, the fee is no longer refundable. The student remains fully welcome for the rest of the course.
Transfers as an alternative
Rather than withdraw entirely, you can ask us to move an enrollment instead:
- To a different course of equal or lesser value
- To a different age band or time slot, where space allows
- To a later term, where space allows
- To a sibling or another student, with our approval
Ask at least 7 days before the course begins. A 10% transfer fee may apply.
Private 1-on-1 coaching
Because 1-on-1 plans are arranged directly with a coach rather than bought through the online checkout, their refund terms are put in writing at the time the plan is agreed. Absent different written terms, the default applies: completed sessions cannot be refunded, and unused sessions come back at their pro-rated value less a 15% administrative fee.
Trial classes
A trial costs nothing, so there is nothing to refund, and attending one obliges you to nothing.
When the cancellation is ours
Should Delegate Academy cancel an entire course before its first session, everything you paid comes back, fees included. Where we cancel individual sessions and no make-up can be offered, those sessions are refunded at their pro-rated value and no administrative fee is taken.
Emergencies and hardship
Illness, a family emergency, a relocation, or a verified technical problem that keeps a student out of class does not fit neatly into windows and percentages. We handle these individually, and we lean toward generosity. Write to us and describe what happened.
Making a request
Refund requests go to hello@delegateacademy.com and should name the parent and email used at enrollment, the course, the enrollment date, and the reason. Expect our reply within 5 business days. Approved amounts return to the original payment method, usually within 10 business days.
